Do you want to have a feature rich web site with animations, sound, and an opening splash screen?

Do you want to use Flash extensively on your site but and its most important to understand if you are afraid of hurting your search engine positioning?

Do you require an opening splash page but were told that the search engines would not index your site if you or someone you know had one?

Well there are ways to have the benefits of Flash on your site and still be attractive to search engines. It is all in how the Flash is used. Some of the methods are simple while others require more programming experience. But we all can use Flash without driving away the search engines.

first let s look at the problem. Search engines index a site by looking at the content. In this case we are talking about text content, not pictures, video, sound, or animation. A basic fact to keep in notion on having a very search engine friendly site is, have high quality, targeted content in text form and limiting the use of anything that can get resource within the way of the search engines analyzing this content.

But what about Flash? Flash converts everything into a Flash file, or SWF file playable by the Flash Player plug-in. All the text in this Flash file will be converted from text to vector graphics, and since the search engines cannot read text in a graphic, they will be unable to read the text in a Flash file. Therefore they will be unable to index the information element within the site.

So how to we obtain around this seemingly insurmountable problem? It is all in how we use Flash in our site. The trick is, either wrap the Flash inside typical html coding, or by using xhtml you can easily have Flash display text from an external source. I will limit this article to the easier methods for using Flash in a search engine friendly manner.

Let s look at the three main ways we can want to use Flash on a website:

1. Splash Page
2. Flash navigation
3. Flash content

Starting with the Flash Splash page there are a couple of ways to handle this. If we just have the Flash Splash page as the opening page to our web site there will be no way aside from the meta tags for the search engines to index the page, let alone learn any more pages in your site.

The trick here is, give the search engines something to work with. This can be easily done in two ways. you can most defiantly put a text only navigation bar just below the splash screen, this way the search engines can at least establish the other pages in your site. But to allow the search engines to index the actual splash screen here is a neat trick. Place the Flash file in a layer, you can most defiantly then float that layer over the web page allowing you to hide all the plain html text you want underneath the Flash layer. This has the added benefit of giving content to visitors who do not have the Flash player installed on their system.

With a Flash navigation bar things are much easier. As long as only the navigation is in Flash the rest of the page can use search engine friendly text, plus you can easily put a text only navigation bar across the bottom of the page so that the search engines can Uncover the rest of your pages. This is a good idea anyway and one that I always follow. Plus when a visitor reaches the bottom of your page they have some links to follow without having to scroll back up the page to your navigation bar.

Using Flash content in your internet site follows the basic principles outlined above. As long as you have some text based content for the search engines to index you will be OK. I have found that having Flash animation resting on the top of my page where it fills the screen, followed by additional text is a nice hybrid approach. It gives your visitors the content rich experience you want to provide plus gives the search engines all the text based content they need for proper search engine indexing.

if you or someone you know really want or need a complete Flash site there is one more thing you can easily do. This requires more work, but it will keep your site highlight within the search engines. Create two versions of your online business, one in Flash and one using regular HTML. Have a simple home page that allows visitors to select either the Flash or HTML version of your site. Include on this home page your main keywords and navigation links to at least your site map and main pages so that the search engines can Uncover their way around your site. This gives you the preeminent of both worlds, the fully feature rich Flash site, and a search engine friendly HTML web site.

One final note, Google now is able to index Flash files, pulling out the text content from the SWF files. This is a magnificent advance and allows us to use Flash more freely on our web sites, but note that they are pulling the TEXT out of the Flash file. So in order to make your Flash files Google friendly you would include your search engine optimized text as text inside the Flash file, just like you would in a regular html web page.

So with proper planning and a few tricks we can have a very rich Flash site and still benefit from easy search engine indexing.

Colorful Query and designing knowledge:

 Web designing is not an easy task
for those who think it is tough; but it can be very interesting if you give it
a thought. For example we all knows that 8-bit display will allow 256 colors on
your computer but  ever wondered why web
browsers palette will display only 216 colors? And also what happens to those
40 colors which are left?

 Well, interesting question!
Answer to this is less informative than interesting. Although the browser
allows those colors to fill in extra color s blocks, the left out colors can
actually smooth out other colors.

As we have seen during web
designing, it is always happening with gray pictures. In navigator 4.0 of
Macintosh there is a bug and it is a stumbling block. It always prevents system
colors from proper display. Though it is still a minor problem for many and most
of them are not giving it a second thought.

Popular JPEG and Omnipresent GIF:

Which one is yours favorite? The graphics,
be it whatever kind, you will ever see on internet are from single web graphic
family of only 3 brothers. First is JPEG, 24-bit color information file format
which is more popular because every kind of picture files will give best
results when we save it in JPEG format.

 But as you would probably guess, JPEG is
certainly not the big brother of the group; the big brother is omnipresent GIF,
the most appropriate 256 pixel flat colors information. Third brother PNG has
advantages of its own but it is still struggling for its place, popularity and
support.

Low Resolution and web images:

Whether we like it or not, web
graphics are made of very low resolution 72 ppi (pixel per inch) as their
display screens have very low resolutions too, it kills the need of higher
resolution pictures. So you should know that although, web site pictures have
made what is web today, we all have love hate relationship with what is
displayed on screen and why.

 Don t you think this a good reason for you to
start exploring knowledge about the art-engineering behind every web page? Well
if you are agreeing with it, welcome to the new world of web designing! You
have just taken a step and we wish you happy journey ahead.

There are a complete heap of things that contribute towards the success of a business. Having a good quality product doesn’t necessarily assure the success of a business. To build a long term impression on your customers, it is vital that you have a proper marketing strategy and something unique about your company. Here comes resource within the importance for having a custom logo design.

I think it is absolutely important for all corporate bodies to realize the importance of having a custom designed logo. A professional logo design goes a long way to establish the identity and exude the attitude of the company. Now, when we pronounce ‘professional logo design”, we must understand that it is not a child’s play, its a specialist job and better if it is assigned to a professional logo designer. The corporate bodies need to appoint the specialist aspect element within the field to get it done. I definitely do understand that its lot of fun to design your own logo; You play with colors, try out your drawing skills and spend some idle time to think what could be the design, at the end you land up with a very common concept of having the initials of your company in some twisted fashion or putting in a sleazy slogan to pronounce your product is the preeminent or some other things like that. However, that is not how your logo would be, it is not just a small graphics to appear in your business cards and letterheads. A logo, if done properly can leave a long and deep impression on your customers mind. They go a long way in depicting the image of your business. you can most defiantly well understand, how powerful a logo can be in generally speaking, if you or someone that understands and has expert knowledge understand about the golden M of McDonalds the moment you see that, you know its them. Just think about the IBM logo or Swoosh of Nike, do you even take a moment to think, to whom does that logo belong? That shows how powerful impact a logo can create within the mind of your customers. Wouldn t you like your company to have an equally powerful logo?

#TITLE# Tips to choose right web design company #/TILTE#

in spite of the consequences whether you manage a small business, charitable organization, or Fortune 500 company, choosing the preeminent web design firm can swiftly become a full-time research project. With thousands of design firms to choose from, what factors truly settle on which design firm is unsurpassed for your business?

The primary considerations for choosing a web design firm are:

* Price
* Customer service/access to support
* Credibility indicators of the design firm
* Portfolio and design experience
* Other services offered (domain renewal, hosting, SEO)
* Turnaround time

Let s take a closer look at each in detail, and explore how to identify and qualify the right design firm.

Price

Like many products and services we purchase, both personally and professionally, deciding on a web design firm can often come down to price. But the value of the services rendered is really what s important. A $200 web site typically turns out to look, feel and perform like a $200 web site.

The price of your site s improvement will depend on three factors: the features of the site, the amount of content, and the service options included with the design package, as an example hosting.

Because pricing varies by firm, here are several principles to use when determining the validity and value of a web design quote:

* Does the quote state one all-inclusive price for the entire project?
* Is there a reoccurring monthly fee for hosting?
* Is the site custom-built, or is it customization of an existing template?
* Is there a separate fee for content growth, case in point writing sales copy?
* Is domain registration/management included aspect element within the package?
* Will the firm provide multiple design concepts, before actual improvement?

It s important to compare quotes from at least three firms to, settle on the value of the services offered. hoping for the unsurpassed value is important in a competitive service market.

Customer Service

There s nothing worse than signing with a firm that offers a magnificent product, only to Uncover out they are impossible to contact. Consistent, open contact with your web design firm is important for ensuring success before, during, and after your online business is developed.

Throughout the design process, you can identify text, , or contact information you d like to change before the site goes live. in generally speaking, if you or someone that understands and has expert knowledge posses immediate questions regarding your site s improvement, you ll be glad to have immediate contact with customer support staff by e-mail, telephone, or live chat.

if you or someone you know are restricted with limitations to e-mail technical support, consider other firms that offer a wider range of customer service options case in point telephone and live chat support. E-mail is fantastic for convenience when it s trouble-free.

Credibility Indicators

Identifying credibility indicators can help ensure a firm is trustworthy, and will be around after your deposit or full payment is sent. Credibility indicators include, but are not limited to:

* Toll free telephone support
* 24 hour customer service
* Better Business Bureau acquiesce
* Human e-mail address contacts
* Google PageRank of 2 or above
* Presentation of a hard-copy quote/design contract

Design Experience/Portfolio

Does the design firm have experience in working with similar types of businesses? Even if a designer doesn t have a web site in their portfolio related to your market, the firm you select could have a strong working knowledge of how to develop an effective site for your business kind. Product and service web sites are not the same. Your designer could have a plan of action for developing a site that reaches the maximum number of prospective customers in your target market.

A few good questions to ask about a firm s design experience include:

* Does the firm offer a number of diverse, finished web sites available for review?
* Will the firm conduct research regarding my competition?
* Will my web site highlight the features, benefits and value of my product or service?
* Has the firm outlined a plan of action for creating an effective site, start to finish?

Design experience doesn’t have to always relate to the kind of web sites the firm has previously developed. if you or someone you know own a specific look in mind, ask the firm if achieving a similar design is possible. The ultimate goal is, know you re going to obtain a tangible benefit out of your site through effective, affordable web design.

Additional Services

Many web design firms offer design, but do not provide other required services for instance hosting and domain name registration. Ideally, your web design company could be a full-service firm, offering at least basic hosting, domain registration and search engine optimization services tailored to your needs. Research each firm to verify other key lines of business, so that any future expansion of your site will be seamless as your business grows.

Turnaround Time

An effective website would take 30-60 days to go live, from the start of production. Unless you re offering hundreds of individual products or services on your internet site, the entire improvement process, start to finish, could take no longer than 60 days. Turnaround time would include:

* Upload of your online business to the hosting provider
* Configuration of any scripts or forms on your site
* Domain propagation (accessing your internet site and e-mail via yoursite.com)

Hiring the cheapest, fastest, or most elaborate web design firm does not always equate to hiring the right web design firm. A limited amount of front-end research can save time and money countenance within the long term, and maximize the sales revenue from your web presence.
